My C drive is nearly full, only a few gigabytes remain. I tried YouTube tutorials for cleaning it, but they don’t help since I need to add more space. I looked into allocating extra memory from other drives, which meant partitioning another drive and moving files to a new one before deleting the old one. Then I added any leftover space from the deleted drive to another partition. Regarding your questions: 1) That method works, but it’s a bit complex. 2) To move OBS from one drive to another, back up your settings and scenes first, then transfer the files using a backup tool.

There are several physical storage drives in the PC. The total size of these actual drives is not specified in the query.

I haven't come across this approach before, if you're clarifying it correctly. From what I understand, you're attempting to make the computer believe a partition on the D drive belongs to the C drive? That sounds unusual. It seems like a complicated method. Generally, you'd just add more physical drives (like D, E, F) and point programs there. For instance, Steam games are often installed on separate drives. Personally, I'd keep OBS on the C drive and free up space elsewhere—probably not a huge amount. If you need to reinstall, you can save your profiles and settings.

If you need more room on a drive like C: You’ll have to delete files from it. Please reconsider if you have any “but” questions. Now, how much space do you think OBS uses?

I'm unsure about which files to delete or their locations, and I haven't set up many programs on the (CSmile folder.

I understand your point now. The video talks about assigning different drive letters to partitions. Since OBS is installed on the D partition, you shouldn’t delete it. To make space for it on the C partition, you’d need to erase that data first and then reinstall OBS. Fortunately, you can preserve your OBS profiles and settings. In the Profile & Scene Collection sections, choose Export and save both files securely. When you reinstall OBS later, import these files. Overall, this setup isn’t ideal for me. Each drive should have a single letter rather than multiple. Having one large C drive would simplify things and avoid complications like this.

Yes, you can free up space on the C drive by deleting unnecessary files, organizing folders, or using disk cleanup tools.

Yeah, but you would need to backup all of your data first. Which hopefully you are doing anyway. Then you would just delete all of the other partitions on the disk (excluding C), & allocate them to the C drive/partition. (As shown in the video). Only delete partitions with letters. There are two other partitions labelled System Partition & Recovery Partition, do not delete these.
