I just received a new case for the wife and graphics card (1070). It’s on the more affordable side, using a RAIDmax Neon. During setup and my first try to power it on, everything worked fine when unplugged. After plugging it back in, the desk showed no power. I brought it back to my workstation and discovered the PSU is completely damaged. I tried connecting an extra 850-watt unit, but it still doesn’t power up the motherboard. When I shut it down from the start menu, the back switch flips on automatically without pressing it. However, when I try to turn it on with the button, it won’t respond and I have to short the switch to get it going. Any suggestions about what might be wrong?

It's possible the connector or button is damaged if you need to short the pins.
