To discover the best RAM sticks for your Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard, check the system requirements listed on PCPartPicker. Look for specifications like supported RAM types (DDR4/DDR5), maximum capacity, and compatibility with your motherboard model. For finding compatible memory cards, use the same site to explore recommended options based on your PC configuration. Let me know if you need help interpreting the details!

Check the Mobos compatibility list. Visit their site and look for it—also mentioned in the module manual. This isn't a brand-specific entry. Updated July 13, 2024 by SansVarnic

For Ryzen 7000 series, DDR5-6000CL30-32 is the ideal choice. Sharing your country helps recommend options more precisely.

I understand a lot, but there are many compatible memory cards available. Is it possible to find the best one? Are there websites that check compatibility and help?

There exists a resource called the QVL that appears on the site, detailing every memory kit tested by the motherboard maker. I wouldn't rely heavily on it, since manufacturers typically use special CPUs for QVL testing. So a board claiming support for a kit might not actually match it unless you have the same type of CPU. A more practical approach is to follow community recommendations for that platform. For AM5, a 6000 CL30 kit usually suffices—these options are largely interchangeable, and brand differences rarely matter much. I note that the wide availability of supported memory stems from many ICs being functionally similar. Only three companies produce DDR5 chips, each making just a few, resulting in fewer than ten distinct options. The printed boards usually share the same base design, with only a few brands like G.Skill, Corsair, and sometimes Patriot creating unique boards. If the board and chip match, performance depends mainly on whether XMP/EXPO settings work for that CPU, something best understood by those who have used the platform.

Building a system isn't about a single "best" choice—it shifts with each week's goals. Focus on what fits your specific needs. I rely on Crucial memory, which provides a guide to match your motherboard and processor. While any memory brand can fit your board, no single stick stands out for every setup. The right option depends on your requirements, so you'll get recommendations to evaluate. A single motherboard supports many processors, which means memory selection varies accordingly.

Check the site details about dual memory support. If it recommends a card that works with all four slots, go for that. Regarding interfaces, XMP or Expo aren’t necessary unless you need advanced features. For storage options, 8x4 or 16x4 cards are common choices depending on your needs.

define "best" as the option that performs most effectively when pushing clocks to their limits, such as achieving a 6400c32 configuration. These are confirmed Hynix dies, though they may become obsolete soon because the Ryzen 7000 only reaches around 8000 at half clock speed, and the 9000 likely won't surpass that. The same I/O die probably only sees minor improvements, while Apple chips are a different matter. You'll need to wait for the next generation since the current line is quite limited—only stable around 8000-9000 at half clock compared to CEZN, which tops out near 5000 with full clock. For a fixed setup, a 6000c30/32 kit should work well. If you're unlucky, the M-series might reach about 7600.

I'm working with an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU and a Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard. I'm looking for the best memory card that works well with this setup.
