I recently bought a 5070ti for my SFF PC. I'm currently using a Corsair SF750 SFX and an ASUS Prime 5070ti. The graphics card needs three 8-pin PCIe connectors, but the power supply only came with two. I've spent a lot of time trying to find the right cables. I ordered some from Amazon, which mentioned Type4 connectors, and they arrived. That one was partly to blame—I noticed SF750 in the photos and didn’t realize there were two different SF750 models (SFX and ATX). That’s my mistake. I then bought a different set from Amazon, checking for Type5 PSUs, and received Type4 connectors. It seems the product description on that page wasn’t accurate. I went to Corsair’s site and got a set with Type4 connectors, but it hasn’t arrived yet—maybe a few more days. I’ve been using this GPU for a week now and can’t even run it. I was talking to a friend who has a CORSAIR RM850x Shift with Type5 connectors. According to Corsair’s compatibility chart, both the SF Gen 2 and RM850X use Type5 connectors. In short, I’m wondering if a PSU cable from the Corsair RM850X would work with my SF750 SFX? If the chart is correct, it should be fine. I don’t want to risk damaging my GPU by using a wrong cable, so I’m hoping for a temporary fix while I wait.

It should function, but please allow a few days for it to settle in.

You could definitely use the two cables with a pigtail. It functions well on your 7900XTX, and the 5070TI at 300W (or higher on OC) doesn’t require three connectors—two should suffice.

PSU didn't include a pigtail, and the 5070ti advises against using pigtails or Y cables as they might harm the component. Even if used, it wasn't suggested. Running just two cables seems fine, right? The setup includes a 16pin to 3 8pin connector, so all three may need to be connected before use.

The suggestions are questionable. A 300W unit might not function properly with just two cables. If you lack pigtails, you won’t be able to use them. The device won’t power on unless all three connectors are properly connected.
