Placed a pre-order for the upcoming Ryzen model. This is my first time doing it. I typically wait until reviews are released, but given Ryzen’s recent performance, I decided to go ahead! Let’s find out if it arrives!

It will be intriguing to observe its results when compared to the 10600k model

The choice depends on your needs. Which size offers the best balance between quality and file size?

It's fascinating how near the Australian price is when you include GST and postage—about $20 more. I considered pre-ordering but plan to wait. I’d rather get it locally or check Newegg for a better deal with free shipping over $300. I was aiming to buy RAM at the same time as the cheapest kit I had, but that would push me past import duties, making it unprofitable.

Unfortunately, I was just trying to wait for those times long ago and the last update was about three hours later... Shocking, I might have gotten the one coming next month. I ordered an R7 5800X... not really for any reason. It feels like I probably don’t need it at all. A 5600x would be more than enough for me since I don’t play that much anymore... I’m not sure, but I guess I just hope to say I have a Zen 3 Ryzen 7. I just wish it could outperform the 2700X. I really want lower CPU usage. That’s all I’m after.

Clock speed boost (4.7/4.3)*zen 2 compared to zen+ ipc1.15*zen 3 versus zen 2 ipc1.19 equals a roughly 50% jump from 2700x to 5800x based on stated figures. I’ve just ordered a 5950x, which should nearly triple performance over the 2700 non-x version and is expected to replace it.

Based on current standards, this model surpasses the 10700K in all aspects. It matches its performance at standard settings with air cooling on a 6.7GHz 8700K using LN2. https://hwbot.org/benchmark/hwbot_x265_b...nterval=20 (this run followed his move to water cooling and added a slight tweak to improve its ranking by two points)

I placed a pre-order for a phone cage (Smallrig) for my iPhone in July through B&H. It moved from "Pre-Order!" to "Backordered," which makes me unsure about buying a CPU from them now.

It negotiates with the 10700K rather than the 10600K, and sometimes the 10850K too.

The review doesn't match the content shown; Jays' reporting seems more balanced.
