I recommend purchasing the entire Witcher 3 collection. A new expansion is expected sometime in May or June. Blood and Wine is a great addition. The game is definitely worth the cost.

Witcher 3 is definitely worth it. I've invested around 80 hours in finishing the game and I'm eager for all the expansions to launch so I can add another 30 hours of playtime! I suggest starting with Witcher 2 first. It's still a solid title and looks impressive even after two days. Playing 2 first makes sense since revisiting older games becomes tougher once you've seen what the latest one offers! And it's also quite affordable.
