Hello, I'm planning to upgrade my PC with a budget motherboard, CPU, and RAM. I want to know if the R5 1600 works with the G.SKILL 16 GB (8x2) DDR4 at 2400 MHz on the ASROCK A320M-HDV R4.0 motherboard. The RAM isn't listed on the board's QVL, but it's affordable, so someone more experienced can advise if this setup will function properly. I've heard first-generation Ryzen models had compatibility issues with RAM, so I'm especially cautious about choosing the right type.
it will function properly. aim for a minimum of 2666mhz+ memory. reducing to 2400mhz instead wastes significant performance.
