Hello, new member of this forum. About a week back I purchased a new CPU for my PC, a Ryzen 7 5700. Prior to that, I upgraded my BIOS to ensure compatibility. But just two days before the CPU arrived, I experienced odd issues with my system. First, it would randomly restart. Initially, I dismissed it as a brief power drop, but after a few hours it froze completely and I had to force shut down by holding the power button. I suspected either the CPU or RAM was faulty, and since the RAM matched what I installed, it seemed like RAM might be the culprit. Then, after turning it off, I noticed the video signal disappeared entirely when powering on, and to turn it off I had to flip the PSU switch rather than just pressing the motherboard power button. I attempted to clean the RAM with a toothbrush, cotton swabs, and alcohol, but it didn’t help. The problem persisted. After that, I bought replacement RAM (Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL) and installed them today. The same issues returned. I reset the BIOS three times—first and second attempts involved leaving the battery out and flipping the PSU switch, but nothing worked. I also tried clearing it using the jumper connector, but no improvement. Finally, trying a single RAM stick also failed. Now, when I power on the PC, all fans spin except the GPU (which seems to activate only under load), and there’s no video output. To shut it down, I must flip the PSU switch since the power button won’t work. Am I dealing with a faulty motherboard? I also observed that the LED patterns on my RAM sticks drift over time, but that might not matter since it just shows power is present. Earlier, my PC had similar problems whenever I swapped components, like rebooting four times after adding an old hard drive. Perhaps these changes caused lasting damage? System specs: Power supply Corsair CX650 (650 W), Motherboard ASRock A320M-HD (BIOS 10.31 [Beta]), CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5700, RAM 2x 8 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL (3200 MHz?), GPU Sapphire Radeon RX 550, Storage WD Green 2 TB NVMe.
