By default, the installation image needs changes. Even after adjustments, setting the ProgramFiles in ProgramData folders across different partitions isn't automatic.

many applications ask where to install them, often suggesting a different location. however, ssd drives are affordable now, making it practical to choose a size right away.

You can adjust the default folder positions within %userprofile% using its settings, it's straightforward. Changing default locations for software isn't really needed, honestly.
