I own a single stick of DDR4 RAM named G Skill Trident Z Royal 8GB. The default configuration is set to 2133Hz. My specs include: Motherboard - MSI B150M PRO-VDH I7 6700k, 8GB RAM (4GB), and a 650W power supply.

Your RAM speed is restricted on this motherboard, and there’s no overclocking capability. You’d need a budget Z170 or Z270 board to achieve higher speeds.

Choose a board supporting overclocked memory, ideally with Z or X chipset. Otherwise, you're stuck with the CPU's maximum speed of 2133MHz.
