Hey there! I’m here with some thoughts. For memory, I currently have four 4GB RAM sticks in quad channel. If I want to upgrade, the first move should be swapping them out for a 16GB kit (two 8GB units). Later, if I decide to go beyond 16GB, what options do you think are available? Share your ideas! Thanks for sharing your specs: Corsair Carbide 275R Black, Asus B450F, ROG Strix motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Ryzen 2600 CPU, Gigabyte RX 5700 XT, NVMe SSDs, and a few partitions.

It’s not essential, though you could potentially boost your CPU performance with a 3200MHz setup—though it won’t be dramatic. It might make sense to consider a 2x16GB configuration once you reach 16GB or more, or when moving to a Ryzen 3000 or better processor. Also, even with four memory sticks, they operate in dual-channel mode.

Choosing a 2x8GB RAM package seems like a solid idea. I’d look for something with a frequency of at least 3000MHz, ideally 3200MHz or more. By the way, Ryzen doesn’t support quad-channel memory; it’s limited to dual-channel. There’s a distinction between the number of slots and the channels being used.

Four sticks don't equal quad channel unless the CPU supports dual channels most of the time. Just keep it in mind until you require more space before swapping in more RAM.

Apologies, I misunderstood. I believed four identical dimmers in four slots indicate a quad-channel setup.

It depends on your needs. Using two RAM slots with bigger sticks can boost performance, especially if you're using a Ryzen CPU. However, having all four slots might be better for future upgrades or if you want more flexibility. Consider what you'll use it for most often.

For enhanced performance, consider DDR4 3600 CL16 minimum. Otherwise, it won't be beneficial.

It's improved, though it isn't worth exchanging for when you already possess those four sticks.

I purchased it ready to use. It included a Ryzen 2600 processor and a GTX 1060 graphics card with two 4GB RAM modules. I installed two additional RAM sticks soon after receiving it.

I don't believe it's necessary right now. Consider waiting until you require 32GB or when upgrading to the Ryzen 4000 series, which should support faster RAM speeds. Increasing from 2666 to 3000 or 3200 won't significantly impact performance.
