Should you upgrade? Consider this: the differences between versions 8.1 and 10 aren’t huge, but they can still matter depending on what you need. Upgrading might be worth it if you want newer features or better performance, while staying on the current version could be fine if everything works well. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, but take your time and think about your priorities! 😊

Ensure every component driver is functional or compatible; if so, perform a backup or standby before proceeding with the upgrade.

Create a backup of your old storage, opt for the free upgrade, utilize magicaljellybean to retrieve your Windows 10 password, format the drive, and install Windows 10 anew. Everything functions perfectly.

You don’t have to deactivate the 8.1 key; just leave it as is. Thanks for your feedback—I’ll remove all your private data and do a fresh installation.

You're worried it might just be an operating system issue rather than Ebola. Performance-wise it doesn't seem much different, and switching it should be straightforward.

I felt 'nervous' since I wasn't sure how to grasp the OS or if it was completely different from version 8.1.

Performing the 8.1 to 10 upgrade will modify your key settings. Using a powerful key from magicaljellybean allows you to reinstall Windows 10 without going through the upgrade process. This avoids driver conflicts typically associated with upgrades.

It's similar, only the start menu changes slightly; most items stay in the same area, avoiding a large adjustment curve from 8 to 7.
