You might want to share the SKU to your HP Envy. It's an alphanumeric code found at the bottom of your laptop on a sticker or etched into the back cover of the laptop.
You should have an HDMI port on your laptop that should allow you to hook up an external panel. You could also look at external docks for your laptop.
Please pass on the make and models of your panels/monitors as well.

The HDMI port supports only one monitor; when attempting to connect two external devices via USB C and USB 3.0, the issue persists. Purchase an adaptor, and the black screen remains unchanged. To identify the number of monitors on a laptop, check what appears in the display settings.
