You have two old RAM modules and you want to check if they match. It seems likely they are compatible, but it's best to confirm. Let me know if you need more details!
They mentioned 4GB 1RX8 while another said 2RX8. The hardware inside seems to vary slightly, so I just wanted to confirm.
They probably won't be compatible together in the MB, they operate at two different voltages, you may physically be able to seat them in the slots, but unlikely they will work together. You may try and set the voltages manually in the BIOS, but may not do the trick. If this is your main PC and you have no other back-up, you may damage your RAM if you're not sure how to adjust the voltages manually. Lots of great video's out there showing you how if you're going to attempt it.
I might have caused the issue before... I had two 1rx8 units with one 2rx8 already installed, not realizing what I was doing. This is what I currently have... (refer to photo). But I just placed an order for a 1rx8 today, so I was checking compatibility with all four. I thought the 2rx8 might be different, but since I installed it once before, maybe that’s why my screen freezes when switching apps or closing windows.
Perhaps, start with just the two identical sticks and remove the rest from your PC. If problems persist, insert one stick into the boot slot, power off the PC, then try the other to determine which one is faulty. Edited June 10, 2022 by MedicTim78 Typos
