Hey there, so I just got a 7900XT to swap in for my 3060 Ti. Here’s what I’ve got: MSI PRO B660-A with DDR4 Intel i5 12400 and 6/12 CPU (ikr?), Crucial Ballistix, 32GB DDR4 at 3600MHz CL16 XMP on a Gigabyte 7900 XT gaming display, powered by Seasonic B12 BC 850W PSU. Issue: When playing GPU-heavy games like PUBG or Delta Forcem, even at max settings, the PC shuts down unexpectedly—after restarting it comes back on, but it feels like it’s turned off for a couple seconds before starting again. The specs say minimum 800W 12V 62A, and my PSU handles 70A. The card draws over 340W most of the time. The 3060 Ti never had this problem before. Thoughts? Should I consider using two separate PCI cables? Did I clean everything with DDU and install Windows fresh? Everything seems clean except for the weird behavior when the PC goes blank and restarts. My F4 games show dips in the 30 seconds, but HWInfo says it’s normal. Also, I’m really struggling with bottlenecks—especially in games like Escape from Tarkov where performance drops after a few minutes. Is this PSU failing? Could it be the cause? Would a drop to around 550W still work or is it a bigger issue? Can a PC shut down partially if the GPU is acting oddly? Any advice, no need for a multimeter? Thanks a lot!
