I'm looking for a bit more performance from my CPU and overclocking is definitely a good option.
I'm using an Fx-6300 with a standard clock, a 990fx-asrock motherboard, R9 380-Asus strix, 16GB DDR3 RAM on a hyperX fury, and a 725W power supply that doesn't support 80+.
I'm wondering if this PSU is sufficient for overclocking, remembering I've checked the website and estimated around 400W under load, so maybe I should have done that before getting this power supply and ended up with a 500-550W one.

You won't face any problems when increasing the speed of that PSU, as it can still supply the necessary power even without the 80% efficiency.
