This 6gb module is likely already connected to the motherboard. It's advisable to include an additional 1x8gb card.

Dualchannel simply means two RAM sticks arranged in a specific way to enable dual-channel operation. In a laptop, you don’t need to arrange them in a particular order since having two slots populated automatically activates dual-channel.

Based on what I understand, it might cause problems sometimes. I suggest swapping the 6 gb stick for a fresh 8 gb one.

I believe you should get rid of that 6GB stick for around fifty dollars on eBay since it's not common. Consider purchasing four 2GB sticks or two 8GB sticks instead.
