Check if your CPU is overheating and consider upgrading to a better cooler if needed.
I own a Ryzen 5800X and have these coolers listed online. The issue is whether my cooler can handle more than 120W under load, as the CPU typically draws 130-140W during games. Should I upgrade to a heavier cooler, replace the case fans, or try other solutions? I've changed thermal pastes several times, undervolted the CPU, and adjusted clock speeds to reduce heat concerns. My main concern is if the front case fan is limiting airflow to the cooler. Could that be the problem? Not familiar with PC cooling yet, but I'm trying to prevent overheating. Any advice would be great!
According to the link, this cooler is rated for 170W, which suggests it should manage your CPU workload. Check the temperatures—do they match when running at full load or just idle? If they’re higher under load, it’s likely fine; if not, there may be an issue.
