I'm checking if my existing power supply can handle these components. Right now I'm using an i5 4690k at 4.5 GHz and an R9 280 3GB Windforce at 1.1 GHz. If I increase the GPU speed to 1.2 GHz, I start having crashes. I have 16GB RAM, a hard drive, and an SSD. I'm considering a replacement PSU priced around RM 750.

The CX series uses inexpensive caps, giving you control, though I wouldn't heavily push them—the caps might handle other parts with the PSU.

same here i'm experiencing crashes in new games instead of old ones, and when i put my hand on the PSU casquet under load it's hot, not just 80° but probably over 55° or 60°, should i consider an EVGA 700/750W Supernova?

then i will save some cash to one EVGA. by the time i get the CX's i had an HD7850 so it worked perfectly for that card, but two years have passed and since i began using my R9 280 i encountered some problems, even with the PC going off.

It seems the CX is trending downward.

yes, it has been two years and almost three now. this is my first time pushing it. i also had a mild OC in my 3570k 4.0Ghz—it's like no oc at all. i ddt it using offset and turbo oc only, so i ddt pussh it hard. anyway, i will try to catch up with an evga.

i really like waiting a while before playing again since getting that evga costs twice as much in the us. the evga 750w is priced at 135$ and the modular model at 140$, so i expect about two-thirds of the time to pass until i get the new psu.
