Are you upgrading to a newer gen of cpu? Are you a ram overclocker or experiencing ram related issues—say upgraded to a new kit and xmp isnt working for some reason? If you are neither then theres zero reason to bother updating or swapping around bios versions Anyways thats just practically speaking but if you wanna update the bios for the hell of it then sure go ahead theres basically zero risk anyways now that pretty much all new boards have bios flashback so you dont have to go desoldering and externally reprogramming your bios chip if the power cuts out in the middle of a bios flash And these new fangled security vulnerabilities arent going to affect a normal person so if you arent someone with a high profile or someone actually worth hacking then theres nothing to worry on that front either
