CPU model: Athlon 3000g Motherboard: MSI A320 PRO I built a budget PC for my cousin to handle simple tasks, but I'm facing issues with no video output, no startup message, and no LED indicators. I've tested two different power supplies, but nothing works. The RAM stick has been reinserted five times now, tried another stick, and even tried using it without any RAM to check for a beep—no sound. I expected a 450 MAX series motherboard, but the A320 PRO says "Ryzen 3000 ready," so I assumed it should work out of the box. I plan to contact retailers on Monday, but my main concern is whether this board is faulty or if the CPU itself might be the problem.
Likely plan is to update the BIOS. I think the 3000-series version relates to 3600X, while the 3000g came out afterward.

Yeah. It is confusing. It looks like this is a Zen+ chip, similar to the actual Ryzen APUs, 3200G and 3400G, so I guess that's why it got the 3000 name, i.e. less than a Ryzen 3200G, even though it's actually an Athlon, and that is enough to distinguish it. It also looks like it should be supported by your board.
I think it would be better to begin fresh instead of continuing this confusion. This level of confusion isn't worth more frustration.
