We suggest upgrading first. Essentially, check for the Windows logo icon in your system, click it, and proceed with upgrading to Windows 10 or download the Windows 10 media creation tool from the provided link. Click "upgrade this computer now." Upon completion, Microsoft generates a Windows 10 key linked to your hardware. Even after multiple reinstalls, Windows will activate automatically. If performance issues arise afterward, you can perform a fresh install by navigating to Settings > Upgrade & Security > Recovery and selecting "Reset this PC." This will erase everything on your device and install Windows 10 from scratch. Before proceeding, back up all important files such as photos and documents to another drive. Your system should function with Windows 10, but if you prefer to revert, simply restore from the original installation folder. Edited October 8, 2015 by Godlygamer23
