Hello, I'm using the first BIOS version (F2) for this motherboard. Should I keep it or upgrade to F60? The F60 version works with Ryzen 5000/4000 chips, but is the 2600 model still compatible? Thanks!

Read the site carefully to ensure the board stays updated. Gigabyte works well for handling a single revision at a time. Skip the update if there are no problems and the system behaves normally. Updating to the newest version might remove support for the 2600 model.

Review the update log for any warnings regarding BIOS use with older CPUs. Retrieve the most recent version without those warnings.

When planning an update, focus only on revisions up to F32. Most BIOS updates aim for improved USB functionality and some CPU compatibility such as Athlon 200 series or Raven 2 chips. It seems unlikely any changes will significantly help with a BIOS upgrade at this stage. The F2 revision already offers better memory support, and no other notable improvements are mentioned beyond that point.

Updated my Ryzen 5 2400G from F40 to F60 without any problems. [root@local kev]# dmidecode | grep -E 'B450M DS3H|F60|Ryzen'
