I employ a standard noname Wi-Fi card with an Intel processor (WiFi6E 5400Mbps+Bluetooth5.2). The machine sits on my desk inside a modest 5-shelf cabinet, open only at the front with ventilation and top access. This setup might reduce the signal strength I receive. Since I rarely rely on Wi-Fi and prefer Ethernet for stability, occasional Bluetooth connections to headphones cause audio issues—especially when I lean back about 1.2 meters from the case. Could there be a straightforward solution to improve the connection?
I also have tough antennas, great advice, thanks! Edit: it's hard to locate $5 items on Amazon, only more costly options available (I'm in France) https://www.amazon.fr/Eightwood-N-type-c...hdGY&psc=1
I purchased a USB male to female extension cable and a Bluetooth dongle. I connected them about 20cm above my monitor for my DualShock 4. Could you tell me what kind of antenna you currently use? If the cable or the antenna itself can be removed from the Wi-Fi card, you might be able to extend the cable further and position the antenna higher. Avoid any obstructions.
Just a note: I got the item, and it’s actually much improved now. My internet speed went from under 2 Mbps to almost 10, and it works throughout my apartment! Thanks everyone!
