Hi everyone,
Today I finally installed an extra SSD in my PC. Everything appeared to work until I noticed only static coming from all the audio ports. With headphones in front and speakers behind, the static changes depending on the mouse movement, programs running, etc. It doesn’t vary even when I mute or increase volume. No other audio comes through it. I’m unsure what might have gone wrong during the installation.
So far, I’ve adjusted audio settings, reinstalled drivers, updated BIOS, removed the SSD, checked the IO shield contact, changed the power cable outlet, and cleaned the case every three months. I’ve always used the same outlet and kept the PC well-maintained. I’m stuck and don’t know what else to try after spending most of today troubleshooting this.
I have an MSI Tomahawk Max B450 and would appreciate any additional advice you might have. Thanks a lot for your help!

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
CPU model is Ryzen 5 3600 with AMD Wraith Prism cooler. Motherboard is Tomahawk MAX B450 with BIOS 7C02v3I. RAM installed is 16GB G.skill Trident Z. Storage includes Crucial P1, fanxiang S101 (recently replaced), and two HDDs. The GPU is Gigabyte 2070 Super. Power supply is Bequiet Straight Power 11 650W, which is three years old. The chassis is Fractal Meshify C. Operating system is Windows 10. The monitor is an LG 27GL83A-B.
Anything with exposed metal, such as plugs or leads, can cause this feedback or ground loop if they come into contact with the case's metal. It might even be something outside the case, like unused cables touching it.
WelI I looked through today and double checked everything that's plugged in and couldn't find anything touching the case. I did some cable management as well to make sure everything was as clean as possible. I also tried it in a different room with a different outlet but still had no luck . One thing I did notice is that when the computer is off and I just plug it into the outlet I hear a pop from the speakers. Not sure if it was like that before? I'm at a loss of what to try next.
