Hey there, I noticed the Samsung C die RAM timings in Bios aren’t great. Since the XMP settings were poor, I didn’t attempt to overclock, thinking it wouldn’t help much. I’m also nervous about doing a CMOS reset because I don’t want to risk losing everything. What if that reset fails? Is there any chance this RAM could actually be overclocked, or is it clear from the timings that it’s not worth trying?

If XMP is enabled but fails, the board will attempt the configuration three times by default. On the fourth try, it will switch to safe mode. The timing is quite flexible, but you should address performance once memory operates at higher speeds. Providing a detailed system specification list can also assist others in offering support.

Try it out now. Hold off on the PC until it appears correctly. It should show up in safe mode within roughly 180 seconds if it doesn’t.

Sure, I understand. Even without a working power cycle, you can try accessing BIOS by holding the power button for about 180 seconds before resetting the settings.

There needs to be an option to adjust the attempt limit. Since I'm on my phone, it's hard to locate this setting. It's usually set to 3 by default.
