Hey everyone, I've been checking out Pop OS lately and keep running into the same problem—my dash-to-panel extension won't work after a reboot. I try adjusting it in Gnome Tweaks, turning it on and off manually, but it still doesn’t activate properly at startup. Anyone have any tips or solutions for getting these extensions to load correctly?

The anticipated outcome depends on which image you choose—first or second?

the update aims to enhance the taskbar and menu to resemble windows. however, after rebooting or launching the system, it reverts to the traditional linux appearance.

Rarely grasped why certain individuals want a polished desktop experience to feel less refined. Often my goal is to let Windows mimic Gnome rather than the opposite.

Pop_OS relies on the Gnome desktop, which is known for breaking extensions since the developers lack official support despite having an extension site. To overcome this, they employ a dedicated team of full-time developers who build the Cosmic Desktop. Essentially, your extension is built on top of existing hacks, and the only solution is to understand Node.js programming. I suggest choosing a different desktop that matches your needs better.

I encountered the same problem; the dash-to-panel dock remained but the default one overlapped it. Turning it off in the settings resolved it immediately (Settings > Desktop > Dock - uncheck Enable Dock).

I understand this feels really intense, even if it seems that way now. Thanks for sharing.
