Hello everyone, I'm using a Lenovo ThinkMobile M92P motherboard and wanted to know if it works with an RTX 5700 GPU and a Ryzen 5 3600 processor. I'm planning an upgrade and have a GTX 760 and an i5 3470. I've searched online but found limited info, so I'm trying to decide whether upgrading the CPU makes sense too. Thanks for your help!

The Ryzen CPU isn't compatible with your motherboard, but the RX 5700 works. Your existing CPU would create a major performance issue.

Your Intel setup requires a replacement motherboard and RAM to support a Ryzen processor. The graphics card might function, but power and cooling challenges could arise in a prebuilt configuration.

The motherboard should be able to accommodate the RX 5700 since it uses PCIe. A more recent model is compatible, though older versions can still work with forward/backward changes. It won't fit the CPU because they have different sockets. This processor requires DDR4 memory, not the older DDR3 you might have. Replacing half the system—just the case, power supply, and storage—makes a full rebuild worthwhile. Most prebuilt units have unusual internal layouts too.

Considering the time it takes to assemble a new PC, buying an RX 580 might not be necessary right now.

You can build a reasonably budget-friendly PC with an RX 580. Key components include the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Gigabyte B450 motherboard, G.Skill Aegis RAM, Intel SSD, and a Rosewill tower case. The setup totals around $678.93 after fees. The SSD and case offer the best savings.

Your current configuration seems suitable, but switching to an RTX 580 could introduce more strain depending on your workload.

The i5 3rd gen paired with an RX 580 should work adequately. It depends on the specific game, but generally it will run smoothly.
