Check if the monitors are getting a signal after increasing the CPU speed.
I recently put in a new gtx 1070 and after finishing the installation of the Nescacary drivers, the system asked me to restart. During the reboot I accessed the BIOS and adjusted my CPU from 3.5 GHz to 3.7 GHz. I also increased the voltage from about 1.1 to 1.225. My CPU model was an AMD Ryzen 5 1500x.
After saving these changes and restarting Windows, nothing occurred—my monitors displayed 'no signal'. I’m now stuck on what to do since I upgraded to an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 and the issue persists. I suspect it might be related to the motherboard or power supply. I’ve noticed all fans, RGB, and GPU fans remain active after boot but still don’t show any signal.
I attempted replacing the CMOS battery and resetting the system, but that didn’t help. I’ve also tried different CPUs, two various graphics cards, and even removed both RAM sticks at once to see if it made a difference.
Details:
CPU before overclocking – Ryzen 5 1500x
CPU after overclocking – Ryzen 7 2700
Graphics Card – ASUS 1070
Memory – 4 x 4GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz
Motherboard – MSI B350 TOMAHAWK
Power Supply – Corsair 550W
Any advice would be very much appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
