Hi, yesterday I purchased an i7 9700 and connected it with a GIGABYTE B360M board. I understand the multi-core performance was set at 4.5GHz, similar to my previous i5 8500 where all cores were capped at 3.9GHz. I adjusted the BIOS to enable maximum speed and turned off Intel Turbo Boost, but on this i7 they only run at 4.4GHz. After installing Intel XTU and tweaking settings, performance improved a bit with more power, though I’m curious about ICCmax and whether raising it would help. The Cinebench R15 score is 1490. What should I do next?

It seems you're trying to push your power limit for the board's VRM. Maybe adding a cooling fan could help. Just be careful—your heatsink might not handle it. You should focus on improving airflow directly to the VRM, not just relying on the motherboard.

90C works adequately, though its ability to deliver power is modest (Gigabyte's high-end Z390 shines, the B360 falls short). This could restrict the maximum CPU overclocking you achieve. The 9700 tends to be quite power-hungry.
