just wanted to check if my monitor suddenly went black while gaming. I noticed it was showing something dim, but after looking up, I think the problem might be with the backlight. I was wondering if replacing it would fix the issue, since my backlight seems to be working properly.

I would first switch to another monitor to confirm if the issue lies with that device. There are many possible causes for the screen going black, aside from the monitor itself.

It's cheaper to buy a new monitor. The backlight part is included in the display and can't be replaced separately. Fixing the panel would cost almost the same as replacing it, and you'd get a warranty with a new one.
