It's been a while since I worked with Intel. The CPU operates at 4.2 GHz across all cores when fully loaded. What adjustments should be made in the BIOS? This is on an ASUS Maximus XI Hero. I thought it would increase to 4.6, and if you aim for 5 GHz, you'll need to perform an overclock.

Check the cooler performance and temperature readings. Does the VRM maintain around 95W of power dissipation as specified?

Open BIOS, turn on MCE, activate Turbo Boost, and now expect speeds around 5GHz on a single core or higher, dropping to 4700 or 4800 depending on the workload.
