1.2V is sufficient. It's common advice to avoid running at 1.4v or more frequently, and to limit daily exposure to around 1.5v.

These processors perform excellently at approximately 1.35 to 137 volts, even during high load tasks such as testing or intense gaming. A 1.2V supply is ideal. Perfect choice!

As long as the temperature stays manageable, anything below 1.35v works well for Zen2. I saw that on two Zen2 CPUs, it becomes increasingly difficult to cool beyond 1.2v. That’s why I set a personal cap at 1.2v.

Review max stable frequency across 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4v. Above 1.4v shows only gradual gains so no significant benefit there. Plot the curve and identify where returns slow down before tuning the CPU until you reach optimal V/f efficiency. Some newer Zen2 chips may support 4.5-4.6 all-core speeds, but if not, stick to current settings or slightly undervolt.
