Your ASUS B350-F Strix runs the newest BIOS with your Ryzen 5600, and you're questioning whether an upgrade to a better MOBO would help.

You might consider quicker RAM, but it wouldn’t save you much. That means no real advantages.

Higher speed RAM and PCIe 4.0 are available, yet they don’t significantly improve everyday performance.

Based on your GPU, an X570 board might offer PCIe 4.0 options. Higher-speed RAM is also achievable. Do either of these factors justify the cost of upgrading your board now? Not really for me, but definitely for you.

B550 also supports PCIe 4.0, but it doesn't really stand out since most systems using it are still constrained by PCIe 3.0. In everyday situations, the extra speed from 4.0 SSDs isn't noticeable.

Well, now I seem like a smart buyer, picking an X570 board for PCIe 4.0 while the B550 does the same thing.* *j/k, it was the only ITX board available and it offered a solid deal with the CPU/motherboard discount I was considering more for PCIe 4.0 GPUs, but that's the point.* At this stage, PCIe 4.0 SSDs aren't really on my radar.
