The various mesh systems are exclusive to specific brands and cannot be used across different brands.

If you connected one of the router's nodes directly, your family could still use wireless to join the mesh network. Your gaming PC and Xbox would remain connected via the ASUS router's Wi-Fi.

Yes, but you may get a double NAT when connecting from the deco, which may or may not be a problem for whatever they do. Might be able to disable routing on it but most of those packs don't.
