For reference, in Proxmox the adapter operates on 10Gbit fiber. This still leaves some confusion. Configuration for ens2: Accepted ports – FIBRE. Link modes supported – 100baseT, Full 1000baseT, Full 10000baseT, Full 2500baseT, Full 5000baseT. Pause frame support – symmetric. Auto-negotiation enabled. FEC modes not listed. Advertised modes include 100baseT, Full 1000baseT, Full 10000baseT, Full 2500baseT, Full 5000baseT. Symmetric pause frame use – yes. Advertised FEC modes not specified. Speed capability: up to 10000Mb/s. Both ports are full. Wake-on support available via g Wake-on. Link detection confirmed.

The connection speed in Windows is displayed as 10Gbps both on your machine and in the virtual environment.

displays 100% in Windows, yet Proxmox handles 10Gbps links while VMs show 100Mbps—could be adjusted.

i'm still getting the hang of this. you're using paravirt drivers on linux, which shows up as 10gbe on your servers, but windows only supports certain options. the e1000 driver works for 1gbe, but if you try to forward a card directly, proxmox gets upset and stops working. you mentioned wanting full 1gbit speeds with your fiber connection, but windows seems to struggle once it hits 700mbps or more. you're wondering how to get a 10gbe aquantia driver in linux for your prox mox setup, especially since the current drivers aren't fully compatible.

They installed the virtual Windows installation, downloaded the Paravirt drivers, and everything functioned correctly. The problem was with the Windows drivers. Thanks for your patience.
