The PC began failing suddenly during a 2k session, so I powered it off and then it would crash at the Windows startup, preventing me from entering my password. After resetting Windows, the system loaded but the keyboard and mouse stopped functioning, making it impossible to access the password. The BIOS lights would turn on when the PC started, but once I reached the password entry stage, the lights turned off and the devices stopped working.

It seems there might be a problem with the driver. Can you check if you can log in using the Onscreen Keyboard?
You can find more details here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...n-keyboard
Also, consider testing different USB ports on your device. Older systems typically used native ports and third-party ports that needed extra drivers.

The mouse isn't functioning, which means I can't use the screen keyboard.

Did you explore other USB connections, such as the front panel ports?

Are there any older PS2 ports left on your PC? If yes, connecting a keyboard or mouse should resolve the issue. But if none of these work, it might indicate a hardware problem with the motherboard. You should be able to enter the BIOS before Windows begins to boot.
