It's a positive development. The boost clock isn't causing excessive overclocking, at least not manually.

It shouldn't be this way; the 4.2 is an approved specification from AMD regarding the safest clock speed. Because the CPU understands the temperature, it wouldn't increase performance if overheating occurred.
