I am replacing my previous AMD 5600X CPU and 6600XT GPU with a 5800X3D CPU and a non-factory OC 4070 Ti GPU... The main concern is whether the current PSU is sufficient or if I need something more powerful. Since the 5800X3D model cannot be overclocked, but might run at lower voltages, I don’t intend to push it further. Other factors like a single M.2 SSD, five case fans, and the CPU cooler (Bequiet Dark Rock 4) are within normal ranges. The Partpicker estimate suggests around 500W, which seems reasonable.
Seeking a more powerful device, at least 750w with better quality.
I usually recommend at least 850 watts these days and 1k if you can afford it (good future proof).
Best buy had the 850 RMX on sale for around 140.
Power supply is often ignored in builds.
Construct your system with a solid base from the start, and you'll avoid any problems.
