Skyrim kept freezing on my system with a 2GB 7850s RAM. I'm trying to force it to crash again. My Asus Strix 780 has 6GB of VRAM.

NO. Just those titles demanding over 2GB VRAM at 1080p, like Skyrim with heavy mods, aren't worth playing. Poorly coded or overcomplicated games won't interest you either.

I tried playing Cod 4 at 800x600 with everything disabled, or just low settings. It was running around 23 frames per second on a 1024x768 resolution, which felt like about 10 frames per second.

you have limited memory available and rarely reach the required threshold, so games that need more than 3gb of RAM might not run well even on a multi-monitor setup at high settings

I own an EVGA 780ti Kingping Edition and I’ve played every title I’ve had so far to the limit. My take is that it’s not just about VRAM anymore—you can find a 3GB GPU for around 70€ (maybe closer to 150$) that won’t even handle Minecraft or my own 3GB setup at full speed. When picking a GPU, consider factors like speed, architecture, cooling, VRAM, CUDA cores, and overclock potential. But those details don’t always reflect real performance. Checking benchmarks for games with that card will give you a clearer picture.
