To check if the FAN SPEED CONTROL functions properly, observe whether it actually changes the fan speed. If it remains unchanged despite adjustments, the system may not be responding correctly.

The device in question is MoBo, which could refer to a GPU. Its full name and model details are not specified here.

SOLVED. Sorry.
I moved my 2 HD drives, and acoustically they now sound "noisier," like older bearing fans (I've used a quiet sleeve before).
Hard Drive Noise.
It turns out the ASUS ROG is extremely quiet—I couldn't hear it at all. I had to cover it and touch it to confirm: when the 0dB button is pressed, it works perfectly—it's really silent. I couldn't distinguish it from the HD sound.
Also, the ASUS ROG 550W doesn't always run smoothly under Linux. It sometimes shuts off completely (for example, when covered).

This brings back memories of the Freezer i32 CPU cooler I received, which includes a semi-passive fan. I had to check if it was actually spinning because I couldn't hear it.
It's a bit of a culture shock when you switch from noisy old hardware to quiet modern ones—especially fans.
🤣
