My mom has my computer linked to the Valerie site which lets her know when it's active. She probably connected it using my MAC address because she asked for it. Since I changed my MAC address, I'm wondering if she won't be able to monitor its online status anymore unless I provide the new one.
Sorry, but we can't guide you on bypassing your parents' security settings. That goes against the rules.
The Valerie is the router provided with Virgin internet packages. It displays all connected devices. Changing the MAC address will update the list, though it remains visible. Your parents probably track your internet activity for a valid reason. If you wish to avoid monitoring while online, discuss this with them.
Attempting to bypass your mom's parental controls only reinforces the reason for enabling them. To gain more freedom, you must establish trust. This action goes against what you're trying to achieve. I expect your mom to realize you're deceiving her. I'd be really let down if she were in your position.
