I'm checking if the problems you're facing with power consumption might be linked to the CPU VRMs overheating. Your thermal pads seem worn, and you're able to handle around 65W for a short time before dropping to 55W. This pattern could suggest thermal issues affecting performance stability.

I verified it myself. Connecting the laptop intake to my AC caused no throttling at 4.1GHz across all cores. Likely the VRM was throttling, since CPU temperatures stayed relatively high. Cinebench R15 results showed 861 points with AC and 730-760 without.

In reality, I was able to observe 70 watts of continuous power usage with the help of the AC.
