Check for Supermicro H11SSL-I-O problems.
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Supermicro H11SSL-I-O motherboard and installed my EPYC processor. The system won’t boot at all. In the manual, it mentions a POWER_OK LED should illuminate when the board detects proper voltage. However, I haven’t seen that light up. Are there any additional steps I need to take besides inserting the CPU and memory? Also, when I connect the ATX power supply to a tester it works fine. But if I connect it directly to the motherboard and then to the tester, it fails (the PSU flags a short and shuts itself off). If I disconnect the power from the PSU and reconnect it to the tester, it functions again—regardless of whether the CPU or memory is connected. The IPMI/BMC LED on the board remains operational and is blinking green. Configuration details are provided in the manual, but I’m still unable to get the POWER_OK LED to activate.
Have you tried any fixes yet? You mentioned identical MBD and RAM specs, so it’s likely the problem lies elsewhere. The site lists 2666 for RAM, but you’re hoping 2133 will work. Are you considering upgrading your RAM or checking other components?
