You don’t have to update your BIOS before swapping CPUs. Just ensure your system meets the requirements of the new processor model.

Your system running a 5600X will also function with a 5700X. Verify this on your motherboard's CPU compatibility page.

You should probably check if an update is available for your motherboard's support page.

You're asking about your motherboard. The manual typically provides helpful guidance for that.

For Asus download, I need to get the proper bios file. I’ll pick the latest non-beta release, version 4204. Rename the accompanying .CAP file using the tool that comes with it. Transfer the renamed .cap file to a USB drive, restart your system and enter BIOS by pressing the delete key right after startup. Navigate to advanced settings via F7 in the tool menu, select EZ flash, and locate the .cap file on your USB. Choose it and press Enter. During installation your mouse and keyboard will pause; it will restart automatically or prompt a reboot. Completed. Afterward, reapply XMP/DOCP and any previous settings. Never restart manually or cut power during installation.
