I upgraded my rig with a new Corsair Vengeance memory. It triggered an error CF 46, which I think means the system couldn’t find the memory or had an initialization issue. After clearing CMOS and swapping in an old working RAM, the same problem persisted. The motherboard seems to be functioning, but after moving RAM slots, the error reappears. If I power off and plug back in, it restarts the issue. I also noted the error codes remain even when relocating RAM, requiring a full power-down. My setup includes an ASRock X370 gaming K4 Old memory, a GSKILL Flarex Ryzen compatible memory, a 2400 MHz RAM, a 1700X CPU, and an Antec 750W PSU.
Hey, I've been making computers for a long time, and sometimes it's the simplest mistakes that lead to problems. I got really frustrated after realizing what happened. I didn't press the RAM too firmly. At first I thought the Rams had left, but then I understood – if I push harder, the motherboard would snap. No, there were supposed to be two clicks, not just one. Really sorry for wasting your time. To be honest, the Corsair ones I bought are fine, I just wasn't applying enough pressure.
