He owned two KITs: Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (two 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz HX432C16PB3K2/16 since around 2020 with a Ryzen 9 3950X and an Asus TUF X570 Plus Wi-Fi board. He never faced problems for three years. He began experiencing BSODs, and the Windows memory diagnostic reported an error. He purchased a new 2x16GB KIT, and since then his PC operates normally without any issues. Now he wants to identify which module is faulty. Memtest86 ran without errors on both 2x8GB kits—one passed all tests, the other still shows two passes. Currently, he can only test two modules at once because only two slots are available in the office PCs. I suspect the problem wasn’t with his RAM; it might be a faulty slot in the motherboard, possibly one of the first or third slots. It’s fortunate he upgraded to 2x16GB instead of 4x8GB, and it seems one or both of those slots are defective. What do you think? Is it possible for RAM to cause BSODs even though another system tested cleanly?
