Check for CPU limitations at 1366x768 resolution in Valorant
I own an AMD A10 5800k with 8gb RAM at 1333mhz, 120gb SSD, and a 700w PSU. My monitor is 1366x768. I plan to add a GPU for games like GTA 450 to boost FPS in Valorant, but bottleneck calculators suggest 81.5% on this resolution. They advise lowering to 1080p to ease the bottleneck, though I can't afford a higher resolution monitor and avoid overclocking. What alternatives should I consider?
It's clear that relying on those "bottleneck calculators" won't help with upgrades.
The main constraint seems to be your CPU, along with the limited RAM.
Changing the GPU won't significantly impact the frame rate.
But is the GPU sufficient? Since I only play Valorant on my integrated graphics, I’m currently hitting 70-90. I want to reach at least 100+ so I can keep up with most players.
The GTS 450 is a 12-year-old model.
It's likely better than the integrated graphics in your CPU, but you won't see higher FPS from it.
I use just one program, Valo. No recordings or background applications.
Despite being ten years old, my CPU still doesn't provide much FPS from the GPU; as long as it meets the required improvements, everything is okay.
