Hey there! I'm just getting started with M.2 compatibility and have a quick question. Does the Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe 500GB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD fit on your ASUSTeK Z97-AR motherboard? I'm planning an upgrade and want to know if it's a good choice or if there are better options available.

It should function, though you'll receive only 10Gbps instead of the 40Gbps offered by newer boards. A Samsung 970 EVO might be too much for your setup.

You should opt for a standard 2.5" WD Blue or Crucial MX500. It will cost much less while maintaining good speed.
