So I am installing a ryzen 5300g on this board and would prefer to stick with gskill since it's cheap and usually pretty good. I checked the qvl and after searching for it it seems to be some old sticks and keeps pulling up a kit of 4. I just want 2x8 16gb. Would prefer cl16 and around 3200mhz. Finding the proper kit for my am5 board was pretty easy, but there appears to be a ton of options for ddr4, and it's a bit confusing. Does anyone know of a kit or type of gskill that has a 90% chance of working even if it's not on the qvl. Or another brand would work of it's a reasonable price.

You checked that one before. It's on Amazon, so if it doesn't show up, you can always send it back.
It seems like you're considering a different approach to the project. You're thinking about taking a risk and opting for a cheaper option, while also reflecting on past experiences with DDR5 issues. It sounds like you're weighing the pros and cons carefully.
I’m planning to pick up that 35 dollar kit. I just calculated it and it comes out to 683 before Nas drives, lol. Still cheaper than buying one, and I think it’ll be pretty cool even though some folks here are warning me against this approach.
